A critical look at www.q-zone.com and Abu Jamils analysis of the code 19, that
is, their way of interpreting, following and propagandizing of the code
doctrine
Initialy, when i started this work of mine I intended it to be a critic of a
work on code 19 made by Abu Jamil from q-zone who, in a way, confirmed and
purified the code 19 doctrine initialy introduced by Rashad Khalifa. But as I
worked on it, I noticed that it also provides the answers(rebutal) to the code
19 doctrine in general and exposes its deceits. So it is not necessary to be
specialy familiar with Abu Jamil`s analysis in order to benefit from this
article.
The title of his work at www.q-zone.com is "Detecting deceits in the
numbers"
Abu Jamils way and version of the code 19 is a very popular these days and
there are many reasons for it. First, it seems in a way intelectual. It
seemingly provide a scientific stamp for the code of Rashad-it uses science of
statistic (rashads work is many times accused for being unscientific , that is
, for suffering from lack of serious and objective STATISTICAL analysis and
proofs-Abu Jamil uses science of statistic and tries to prove that statistical
analysis also confirms the code). Abu jamil`s and q-zone`s way is also popular
beacuse it leaves a lot of rooms for creativity, individuality of a person to
be expressed and offers a lot of seemingly plausible solutions and excuses, and
the ways out of discrepancies, blasphemies and clear contradictions in the
teaching of Rashad Khalifa, that is, in proving existance of the code and in
the introducing and considering code 19 as quranic doctrine or/and
introducing/presenting/considering Rashad Khalifa a messenger of God. It also
provides a refutation of number fanatics who use numbers( trying to prove
anything and everything) over any reasonable border in their religion so
clearly giving a bad name to code 19 doctrine and Rashad`s teaching who Abu
Jamil do not follows blindly but respects. His work exposes
(1)them as fanatics who exagerate and who go to far on the wings of code 19-far
across God`s borders into idolising rashad and code 19 and
(2)those who totally rejects code and do not consider it divine
as two extreme opposites, that way providig for him and alike a place in the
golden ( read islamic) mean.
Very much alike and similar to Abu jamils and q-zone way, there are milions of
sunnies and shias who do not accept their hadiths blindly and reject many
"unauthentic" hadith and for surely will not buy "any and
every" saying, with the mark "a hadith" upon it, as a genuine
and the true hadith of the prophet but are nevertheless far from considering
Gods book the only source of the law and guidance thus commiting shirk. They
simply see that way too many hadiths are GLARINGLY nonsensical, blasphemical,
false and unislamic,as well as, GLARINGLY contradict common sense, scientific
facts, and are in clear confilict with modernism, intelectualism and feminism
that dominates today among muslim inteligentia and slighty and gradualy
infiltrates in muslim masses. So they found a way out through a partial
acceptance of the hadiths, that is, the rejection of the hadiths they
(personaly, and subjectively) do not like or find wrong. By the way, they found
an oportunity for self developing, and a kind of self-emphasizing and a joy of
being an intelectual and a kind of scholar who dot follow blindly but uses his
faculties of reasoning.
Abu Jamils analysis could be summarised this way. He "discovered" a
"phenomenon" whose significance is according to him 1:70000(rounded).
He states in the lesson No3 (http://www.q-zone.com/lesson3.html) that "The
odds of getting these results by accident are about one in 70,423".
Before going into detail analysing how much indeed his discovery is significant
it must be said at the very beginning that his analysis suffers from several
serious defects. It is in a way utterly biased, misleading, and gently said
-terribly incomplete. I am going to elaborate it now gw to make it clear and
obvious.
1.One of the major faults of Abu Jamils analysis is that it neglects existing
of other ways of analysing while estimating the significance. Existing of other
possible ways of analysing decreases the significance proportionate to the
number(and kind) of alternative ways of analysing (rounded). If we take into
consideration at least 8 possible ways(but actually there are at least hundred
possible ways) which are uncorrelated, the significance decreases from 1 in
70.000 to 1 in 500! ( 5 hundreds)
If abu Jamils way of analysing was the only possible way ONLY THEN the
probability of finding such a "phenomenon" would be 1 in 70.000. But
it was not the case. The probability he calculated actualy reffers to the
probability of finding such an anomaly making analysis using EXACTLY HIS(and
not any other) WAY- that is deliberately choosed by him! But actually the
probability of finding such a phenomenon in a book (chosed randomly) actually
is much bigger/greater, that is, his probability/significance is overstated
and/or misinterpreted. Thats because there are others alternative ways of
analysing that are equaly if not more feasible, logical and intuitive that his
ways was.He disregarded the fact that with existing of the numerous possible
ways of analysis the probability is drastically increased(and significance
decreased). Existing of two possible uncorrelated ways of analysis almost
double the probability, existing of the 3 ways almost triples the probability
etc.etc.- decreasing the significance drastically. (If methods are correlated
the decreasing is not so drastical but IS present, depending of a degree of
correlation, and it also counts)
2.The second major fault is that he did not take into consideration ONE THIRD
of series /sums("alif" initialed series) that he generated using his
way of analysing/combining counts of initials. That is done under a smart
excuse- which I gw will discuss more detaily in this work. He killed two birds
with one stone-he actually decreased the number of
"attempts/tries/series" and accordingly increased the significance,
and in the same time he resolved the problem of "alif-initialed"
chapters/series who suffer of/from the lack of 19 divisibility.
3.The third fault is a misinterpretation of a quranic verse in order to suit
his purpose. In order to make the result of his defected statistical analysis
significant, he misinterpreted verse 74/31 of the quran. Being aware of the
lack of significance and miraculousnes of his alleged anomaly(he admits it
himself through puting his words in the mouth of his fictionaly
"sceptic"-see the quote below inbetween asterixs*), he tried to
provide at least a status of sign-prophecy for his alleged "anomaly"-
when it is already clear that there is nothing miraculous in regards of the
counts, nor the intent is visible, nor the anomaly itself is statisticaly
significant .
*
Here Abu Jamil(through the mouth of the fictional sceptic in the fictional
dialogue they lead) admits that such an "anomaly" could be found by
accident:
"But aren't you forgetting something? What about 'intent'? Does the Qur'ân
intend to use the number 19 as evidence of a miracle, or did you just discover
this anomaly by accident and declare the number 19 miraculous after the
fact"
*
The interpretation that 74/31 and surah 74 reffers to the code is a far fetched
allegorical interepretation(their number =19=math code based on No 19) based on
neglecting muhkamat parts of the quran(the part with well established meaning)
which are basis of the book and in the same time on (ab)using of
mutashabih/ambiguous(not well established/un-tighteened meaning) parts of the
Quran (3/7), studying them in isolation, taking them out of context, and
without taking into considration the general picture and message of the Quran.
(A Similar trick is made by the proponents of the bible code 7-they took a
verse from the bible out of the context, interpretated it allegoricaly and
claimed that it reffers to the bible code 7.)
74/30-31 has nothing to do with the code . There is no mention of any math
-numerical code, nor 19 and/or "code" 19 as/being a miracle, nor sign
etc.etc.God does not run out of words. I explained detaily to what 74/31(as
well as the whole 74th chapter) reffers at the links below. Me and my friends
used decisive/muhkam ayats which are the basis of the book(3/7) to explain it:
Obsessions
8/2 and The code
Massacre
Was Muhamad disbeliever?
BUT if people insist and want that 74/30-31 reffers to the code, then it must
be said that IT ONLY CAN REFFER TO THE CODE IN A NEGATIVE SENSE- 74/31
describes "their number" "negatively"- it says that it did
not made/set BUT (as) a fitna for disbelievers.
God says: "And we did not made/set their number BUT (AS) A FITNA FOR THOSE
WHO REJECT(ed);IN ORDER/THAT those who are given the book may arrive at
certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be
left for those who are given the Book and the Believers, etc
That is, the verse is a prophecy of 19 being made"nothing but a fitna for
disbelievers"( it will mislead them, it will be a test that they will
fail- they will take code 19 as an additional god besides the real God, and
they will follow it instead of the Quran, and transgress quranic borders for
the sake of 19, inspite of the fact that God gave no authority to
"19"). And by witnessing the fulfillment of that prophecy the
believers will increase in faith and those who are given the book will be
convinced/arrive at certainity -that Quranic narrations are true etc.
4. Besides we would like to put forward the question of the criteria and
afterwars a few comments to ponder upon. Let those who uses a science of statistics
to justify the code answer the following: Where is the border beyond which
"a phenomenon" becomes significant ? Is it 1/50.000 or 1/10.000 or
1/100 etc.etc. Who decides ? Who makes the decision? Is there any criteria set
by God? Or it is humans who subjectively decide where coincidence stops and
significance starts? How can we know for sure?
When it comes to religion, to the question of the guidance, and understanding
of the Quran and judging the "numerico mathematical features called code
19", statistics seems to be a blind god who do not speak and is dependent
of how humans intepret it, its dependent of the words (interpretation) they
ascribe to it (and also dependent of what the true god has said about it); and
true god clearly speaks through his words-His book-Quran. One does not need to
be an expert in the history to know that the hadiths have no any religious
importance. A true believer who have knowledge of the book knows the true
essence of the hadith better than any sunni hadithist who have a ph.d. in
Hadith science and knows hundreds of hadiths by heart, but does not recognise
its essence-they are false and they have no any religious importance but
represent a satanic path. In the same way one need not to be a statistical
expert to know that the calculations of the Rashads code 19 are not part of the
Quran, Gods religion and true path but a human inovation. The proverb that
"statistics shows all except that that matters" seems quite true
here. Remember the verse that says: "It is not eyes that are blind but the
hearts that/which are in the chests."
5. Even if we took his analysis for granted…
Abu Jamils final conclusion was that the significance of the phenomenon is
1:70.000. Though i think that it is highly overstated or/and misinterpreted,
let us accept his result for a moment and let us analyse it.
What does it mean?
It means that 1 out of every 70.000 books contains such a code.It means that
every 70.000th human authored book analysed by the same method will show
similar pattern!!! It practicaly means that whichever library you visit you can
find a dozen of books coded by "code 19" whose proponents claim is
extraordinary and divine???!!!
Their code is embeded UNINTENTIONALY by their human authors while they were
writting them. While they were writing, let say, about recipes for cakes, or
about most succesfull sportist of the year, or about famous historical events,
etc. etc. etc. Not to say what could be done if somebody has intention to make
such a code, that is to embede it in his book. So even the book of atheists
could be coded with such a code.
And the claims in style:"produce a surah like this" by reffering it
to code 19 are ridiculous.
The old trick
What abu Jamil has made, by/with the whole site and his analysis, is actually
the old trick - applied by other hadith decievers in the past-you allegedly
applie a strict/severe criteria and rejects some hadith(calculations in our
case) from the reason of alleged caution of/from accepting the things of we
have no knowledge(that way decreasing the degree of awareness from accepting
his analysis and increasing confidence in the objectivity of his analysis in
the people), and on the other side he placed the same kind of hadith(his
calculations). It is incredible how much the level of the caution toward
accepting falsehohod as the divine teaching/sayings of the Gods messenger is
decreased in the sunnie people when it comes to accepting of the hadiths from
bukharis collection, who allegedly, while making selection for his collection,
has from the outset rejected every even a bit suspicious hadith -and not to
talk about the false ones(!)-and who allegedly applied an incredibly strict
methods/criterias for accepting of the hadiths for his collection of the
hadiths. Accoding to Bukhari only 1% of the hadiths were reeliable. Out of
600.000 he analysed through the process of selection and checking, he rejected
594.000 hadiths as untrustworthy, and the rest -6000 lies- which glaringly
contradict to the Quran and the spirit of the true religion- he sold to the
people as the most trusty sayings/hadiths that represent an essential part of
Gods religion and an essential means for salvation. That was a smart trick
indeed.
On the other side, under a condition- conditionaly speaking- we could say that
the odds of getting such results by accident are 1 in 70.000. But that does not
necesserily means that its significant and/or miraculous. We must analyse it
first, think about it, and we must investigate/take into consideration how did
we get that number. And we must pay attention to the phrase "by
accident". Here is the condition mentioned:If the man just sat upon his
Quran, counted the letters in the initialed chapters, analysed them in a
single(and most reasonable way?)and if he got such results -only for such an
event could be argued that the probability of happening so is1/70000. But that
was not the case. The analysis is a result of 20 years of the work(see below).
And even if it happened that way- it absolutely does not mean that the
phenomenon is significant and/or miraculous, nor that it breakes the law of
nature, nor that it is beyond of probability nor that it breakes the law of the
probability, nor that the intent is obvious as it is propagated and claimed by
Abu Jamil and likeminded persons.
If someone is looking for multiples of 19, then it can not be said that it is
achieved by accident. Probability 1/70000 is actually a result of 20 years of
hard work -more then 20 years of deliberate looking for 19-divisibility
performed by thousands people madly in love with 19 divisible numbers.
Take alone Rashad Khalifa, during his longstanding study of counts of initials,
he has been using a lot of possible combinations and ways of
analysing/combining the counts and most probably different scripts looking for
the one that will give him the most 19-divisible hits. He tried to combine and
analyse counts of the initials in many different ways looking for the best way.
During all the years of his work, while he was publishing his results, he
presented surah counts, set counts, or he would sometimes try with inclusion of
letters from bismillah and sometimes he would presented counts with exclusions
of letters from bismilsahs etc.etc. Actually in his last work he informed us
about mutiples of 19 using at least 4 different ways of combining initial
counts -he used quadruple tactic that way arteficialy increasing occuring of 19
divisibility in order that the results of his analysis appear impressive/more
impressive to the persons who are not familiar with statistics or do not check
seriously or do not pay attention to his methods of combining counts of the
initials. (Actually the most of the readers-toward my experience 99,99%
-belongs to those categories)
Having in mind existing of all possible ways of analysis it is very likely that
we will find a way that will give us a few 19 divisible hits -a 19 divisibility
that is little bit increased than 1 in 19(this is quite natural if we have in
mind a size of the sample-it is an extremely small sample-only in cases with an
extremely big samples probability smaler than 1 in 19 could be considered as a
sign of intent) .
But, the fact that no matter how we analyse the counts we get no more than a
few of 19 divisible hits, and the fact that no matter how we analyse them most
sets/counts do not come out as multiple of 19 , actually, tells us that (a
significant) increasing of 19 divisibility is not intended by God. If the
problems are created solely by "alif initialed" summs, then, there
would be a room to think that the lack of 19 divisibility is a result of
varying of alif counts from the script to script of the quranic text(what is
very often excuse of the proponents of code 19 doctrine), but that absolutely
is not the case. The lack of 19 divisibility is not related to alif initialed
sums only. Many of "non-alif" summs do not come as multiple of 19 no
mater how counts are analysed/combined.
So, getting back to Abu Jamils analysis, I`ll remind you that the real/correct
estimation of the significance of the phenomenon we will get only if we analyse
the probability of occuring of such a phenomenon (in a book by accident)
considering/having in mind/taking in account existence of all the numerous
possible ways of analysing -or at least those who make a lot of sense.
The major fault of Abu jamils analysis is that it neglects existing of other
was of analysisis while estimating the significance.
As i have already said above only if Abu Jamils way of analysis was the only
way of the analysis ONLY THEN the probability of finding such a
"phenomenon" would be 1 in 70.000(out of 12, six-6- summs were 19
divisible). But that was not the case. Not only that his way is not the only
possible way, but it is also far from being the most reasonable/feasible one.
There are at least several others, equally, and even more logical/feasible ways
of analyzing counts of initials (which are btw used by the proponents of the
code during the period of 20 years before Abu Jamil made his analysis)which
drasticaly increases probability of finding the "phenomenon" he has
found. That is, it decreases significance of what he has found.(but actually
there are hundreds of ways)
During 30 years of researchs in the code 19 area summs/counts of initials
initials are generated and analysed by joining them and combining them using as
a criteria similarity in initials which prefix them, or distribution over the
surahs or they are treated separately etc. etc.
For example:
1.He could analyse counts of initials according surah counts -he could simply
count all the different initials in the particular surah which they prefix and
divide it with 19.
2.He could treat/analyse counts of initials separately, looking for the
individul counts of each initial in the chapter that it prefix.
3.Or he could do the same thing - treat/analyse counts of initials separately
as individuals-but now he could combine them with the same initials in other
surahs , that is, combine them across the surahs- by looking for the individul
counts of each initial in all initialed chapters that it prefix and then divide
it by 19. For example- count of letter Q (alone)in all initialed chapters where
it crowns the chapter is 114=6 ×19 -the count is19 divisible, BUT, it is the
only initial (out of 14)which shows 19 divisibility when counts of initials are
analysed this way!!!
4. He could analyse counts treating them as sets of initials and then combine
the same sets across the surahs (Edip Yuksel`s method)
5. He could analyse the way he has analysed
6. His method but with a variation.
***Abu Jamil could treat two set counts 1.ha-mim 2.&ajn-sin-qaf from the
surah 42 as a single sum and not as the two counts as he did: he joined
1.ha-mim to counts of ha-mim from the two previous chapters and
2.&ajn-sin-qaf he considered as a separate set. (and he could claim that
this is a perfectly logical cause he formed his series according to surahs and
not according to the sets) Interestingly this would further ruin the
significance cause using this way he would loose 2 out of 6 series that he
found 19-divisible.!!!
***
7. He could analyse only that counts that are connected with the phrase
(..these are ayats of the book…). This phrase follows "initials" in 8
chapters.
8.etc
A.Besides that, he could exclude letters from bismilahs from counting. This is
an equally logical way. And if applied consistently could be used and nobody
could objected to arbitrariness of/in such a choice IN THE CASE that it could
make all counts 19 divisible. The significance would be the same. It is
reported by Daniel Lomax in the debate with Edip Yuksel "Running like zebras"
that Rashad, while publishing his work, used that way sometimes, Edip Yuksel
did not objected to his critic.
Besides that we have already seen that when it was necessary- for those who
believe in code 19- to exclude bismillahs from counting of the words, they
found such the procedure perfectly logical and they even accuse those who
consider that way as inconsistent for a bias and for avoiding of the truth.
They have even found a smart reason for it- they excluded all bismillahs from
counting of the words but the first one-the excuse was that 112 bismilahs were
unnumbered and do not belong to the surah as the first one1/1-but only prefix
them.
At the end of the day, if that way could work, one could said that bismillahs
are human addition to the text and that anomaly found using that way of only
confirms it.
B.He could exclude initials themselves (their occurence in the beggining of the
chapter) from counting. "They are not part of the text/sentences of the
chapters but only preceeds it" sounds a s aperfect explanation for
that-they only marks the surahs but they are not part of the surahs texts cause
they have no apparent meaning as words of the book have. And theirs consistent
unparticipating in the counts would be considered as a sign of the intent.
Again, if this way could result in all counts 19 divisible nobody could object
to arbitrariness of their(s) exclusion. The significance would be the same.
C.He could count the letters using warsh script(instead of the hafs)- one of
the two most spread versions of the Quranic texts-and that version would be
considered as divine (beacause of that divine anomaly which actually shows that
warsh`s version is divine and not hafs), just as the hafs version is considered
divine now by majority of the proponents of code 19 doctrine.
There is also a possibility of replacing initials with their gematrical values
(actualy if i recall well i heard from Abu Jamil recently that he is working on
a something new in regards of initials and their gematrical values but i do not
remember if it will be connected with code 19 also) and this opens the door for
a great number of new possible ways of combining of the counts, reducing
significance further. We could applie all the methods mentioned above to
gematrical values of the initals, or, now we could simply add the gematrical
value of initials to counts of initials in the numerous ways of analysing
mentioned above.
Let us take for a moment the 4 choices, used by the proponents of the code, plus
possibility of one alternative script, possibility of including or excluding
letters from bismilahs and occurences of initials themselves at the beggining
of the chapters. The cross combining of all this stuff actually offers 32
possible ways of analysing which absolutely puts the probability of existing of
the phenomenon Abu Jamil has found inside the borders of normal statistical
variations. Not to speak about other possible way of analysing.
Further he could use alternative alfabets and count letters that way, on the
end of the day he would dig out something. The different scholars, linguist,
historicians etc. claim that in the time of the revelation arabic alfbet
consisted of 14, 17,19 etc. letters. Today, arabic alfabet consist of 28 leters
and some claim 29 (counting hamzah as a separate letter and not just variant of
alif. Some proponents of the code believe that hamza should not be counted and
some believe that hamzah should be counted-interestingly enough-Abu Jamil
consider that maybe some of hamzah should be counted and some not??!!).
If any of these variant of alfabets could produce more 19 divisible hits that
28/29 lettered alfabet has produced i am sure that it would be considered as a
divine confirmation of that alafabet by the proponents of the code. (Imagine
what would happened if 19 lettered alfabet could produce some hits!!!)
But let us for a moment take method of analysisng aplied by Abu Jamil and let
us take into account /consider the possibility of including/excluding letters
from bismilahs and initials themselves on the begginings of the chapters, while
counting and possibility of adding up the gematrical value of each letter to
the count of the respective letters(and then dividing it with 19). This gaves
us 8 equally feasible methods of analysing for which could be argued that are
quite obvious, most obvious/natural/intuitive, most logical , "actualy
prooves the divinity"etc. If any of these could produce some 19 divisible
hits etc for them could be claimed that it is quite natural that wexactly that
way should be used for analysing the miracle or sign. Having in mind this 8
ways- this, let alone other feasible methods, let alone other possible versions
of alfabet, other scripts, and let alone all variations/ways that could be
created by combining all these features -this 8 different ways reduces the
significance from 1 in 70.000 to 1 in 500. (!)
In other words, such signifcance/"anomaly" we can found in 1 of every
500 human authored books chosed randomly!
This is truly insignificant and absoulutely inside the law of probability.
The method of analysis aplied by Abu Jamil is a very unique and is not applied
toward my best knowledge until recently. True, it is consistent in way but it
must be said that there are several other equaly consistent and even more
natural/logical ways used by Khalifa and others during 20 years before A.J. .
But whatever, IF his analyses gave all 19 divisible counts, nobody could
objected and nobody could said that it's a coincidence. But that's,
unfortunately, not the case. Using his way we get six(6) 19 divisible counts
and 6 non divisible(plus there are 6 others "alif counts" which he
completely excluded from his analyisis). What he has done is that he simply has
found a(very smart) way to decrease number of counts and accrdingly to decrease
the probability and to increase the significance. This way he also
"resolved " problems with alif "counts" who suffer from the
lack of 19 divisibility and are hard to check/count. This way he simply left it
out of the analysis?!
This is an additional serious defect in his analysis. He actually generated 18
eighteen series of which he took into consideration only 12 series(6 of them
were 19 divisible) under the pretext that there are variation in alif counts
and under the pretext that there is disagreement in regards of which script
should be used for analysis. And allegedly because of that- he disregerded 6
alif initialed series in his analysis -allegedly doing the favour to "the
sceptic" by saying:"we must instead leave those sűrât out of our
analysis, even if it means that our results will suffer! (Only the brave dare
proceed hence!)".
But this way he actually make a positive pshycological effect in favour of the
code-stating in advance that whatever result we get the significance must be
greater. On the first sight it really seems fair from his side but what he
actually did not stated is that many errors are found in Khalifas counts by the
opponents as well as opponents of the code.(He used Khalifas count for his
analysis.) This way he actually, killed three birds with one stone:
1) he actually decreased the number of "attempts/tries/series" -and accordingly increased the significance
2) in the same time he resolved the problem of "alif-initialed" chapters/series who suffer of/from the lack of 19 divisibility
3) he made a positive pschyhological effect at the readership stating in advance that whatever result we get the real significance is greater. He presented himself as being fair and objective researcher-he is (allegedly) "doing the favour to the sceptics" leaving the problematic surahs out.
According to a close friend of Rasdhad -Edip
Yuksel (a strong proponent of the code) even Khalifa himself was aware of those
errors and they planed to make further research in order to resoleve the
difficulties. Edip Yuksel also claimed at 19.org forum that "alif
counts" are not 19 divisible in hafs version of the text (that is, that we
have no real/correct counts because of the variation from script to script) and
he intented to make a research and resolve this miscounts using the old scripts
of the Quran locked in the libraries all over the world.
Even the counting which he(Abu Jamil) has performed himself and which can be
found at his site, actually, very much contradicts to the alif counts of Rashad
Khalifa. No matter if we take into consideration counts of his alif series with
hamzah, or without hamzah(a form of alif), not a single one of 6 series that he
disregarded (while he performing analysis which gave 1/70000) gives 19
divisible result.
serie 1 ALM chapters(ch) 2 i 3
9603+5493=15096 /19=794,52 without hamzah(bh)
9839+5619=15458/19=813,57 with hamzah(sah)

serie 11 ALM ch 29-32

So we can actually say that according Abu Jamils counts and using his method of
the analysing (considering it as the only way), the probability is not 1/70000
but 1/ 5000 (5 thousands) ( p= 0,000206242 ) And this is truly
insignificant. This is nothing special and such a phenomenon can be found in
every 5000th ( human authored! ) book chosed randomly. Remember, this is when
we consider his method as the only way- what actually is not the case. When we
take into consideration other ways the significance drastically decreases and
completely melts down.
So, in the conclusion, the anomaly he has found was not an anomaly at all, but
a normal statistical variation, absolutely inside the law of probability, which
is "discovered" as a result of more than 20 years of work of thousand
people -a result of a longstanding digging in order to get anything that is
interesting in regards of 19 divisibility. And when the probability is
objectively estimated we get nothing special and we see that the
probability(1/70.000) is highly overstated or/and misinterpreted. 1/70.000 do
not represent the probability of occurence of such phenomenon by accident in a
book, but 1/70000 actualy reffers to occuring of such phenomenon if his way was
the only posssible way or the only reasonable way, that is, if there was only a
single possible way of analyising- what is thousands miles far from being true.
Taking into consideration ONLY 8(out of actually hundred feasible ways of
analysing) we get the probabilty of 1 in 500- what is totally insignificant and
normal.
Besides that, using his own counts, and accepting that his own way of
analysing, that he himslef has choosed, was the only one or the only one that
is logical(what absolutely is not true) -disregarding other feasible ways which
would further decreased the significance -that way, the probability of occuring
of a such phenomenon is not 1/70000 but 1/5000. That's because that way- 6
series that he excluded and which are not 19 divisible - would increased
probability (and reduced significance) from 1/70.000 to 1/5000.
Even without using all this statistical methods, probabilities etc an oridinary
man can see that all this 19 divisible hits occured but as a result of
coincindence, and represent nothing special. Having in mind all numerous
possible ways of analysis it is obvious to everybody that if so many people
spent so much time digging- 20 years- looking for 19 divisibility in the quran,
trying every possible way to get something, it is clear that if someone come
with a way to get a few 19 divisible hits, using this or that special way,
while many of counts regardless of that are still undivisible by 19, it is
glaringly clear that his "anomaly" do not represent a sign or miracle
but a product of human work and a product of the capability of human mind to
produce and see alleged patterns in anything and everything. The common sense
tells to an oridinary man what statistic tells to scientist.
"We see that the theory of probability is at the bottom only *common
sense* reduced to calculation; it makes us appreciate with *exactitude* what
reasonable minds feel by a sort of *instinct*, without often being able to
account for it."- Laplace.
The existing of many non 19 divisible counts/sums /sets/series no matter how we
analyse it (using a consistent way) are clear indicator that 19 divisibility is
not intended by God or/and is not intended to be in a degree that could be
recognised and considered as intentional or similar. The fact is that no mater
which way of analysis is applied the majority of counts is not 19 divisible and
we get nothing but a few 19 divisible hits -and many alif as well as
"non-alif" initial sums/sets/series do not come out as multiple of 19
- most GLARINGLY/obviously breaking alleged patterns and placing all the
probabilites inside the law of probability and making them a normal statistical
variations.
