Subject: Quran vs Code 19

From: "MrAbc X" <mrabcx@hotmail.com>

- The very first verses of the Quran tells us that it is a book for those who believe in the UNSEEN (3/2). If you need a "miracle" before you will believe then the Quran is not for you. For over 1400 years this has been the standard set by God, no one knew about any "code 19". Would God now suddendly change His philosophy ?

- Believers in code 19 try to promote the Quran via code 19. They write articles/books to preach number 19, but they seem to forget that the Quran is in no such need. The Quranic message is not in need of such "codes". It never was and it never will be.

- One must not follow nor accept anything before verifying it (17/36). Unless one is willing to go ahead and count all the letters/words then there is no reason to follow or blindly accept the results which are promoted by believers in code 19.

- If you do start to count and don't get 19-divisibility the first times what will you do ? Start counting again and keep spending years counting letters/words ? Why not spend the time on the Quranic message itself ? Infact so far no one has been able to verify the counts of the Alif suras.

- Counting initials/words/etc all takes away the focus from the essence of the Quran: the Quranic message, which gets neglected. Satan has been successfull in making sunni/shias deviate from the Quran in favour of the hadiths. Other Satanic tricks makes people deviate from the Quran by making them more interested in counting, "mathemtical properties", "new discoveries", "new combinations" etc etc! The never-ending disucssion between pro-19/anti-19 is just another example.

- Writing is a method to store/transmit the spoken word. There are many small writing differences in various Quranic texts, differences "code 19" can not correct. These dissimilarites are just as irrelevant as the distinction between "color" and "colour". 1400 years ago the written Arabic language was far from standardized as written languages are today, and it was just natural that there would be small differences between different texts written by different scribes/Mohammed:

"(Written) by the hands of SCRIBES" (15/80).

There is hence no need to "correct" or remove the variations of the Quran as promoters of "code 19" claim. These differences are totally irrelevant and don't change the meaning in any case.

- The Quran confirms that the writing in itself is irrelevant, and it is the spoken revelation/the message of the Quran which is the main issue and is enough as a miracle alone:

"Is it not enough for them that We have revealed to you the Book WHICH IS RECITED TO THEM?" (29/51)

For believers in code 19 this is not enough. They want to go ahead and count letters, and figure our whether the Quran should use "color" or "colour", "sceptic" or "skeptic"!

"And RECITE what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord" (18/27)

"And when the Quran is RECITED TO THEM they do not make obeisance?" (84/21)

"We will make you RECITE so you shall not forget" (87/6)

The Quran no where advocates that it must be written in a special way or that it was a written revelation, believers in code 19 seem to forget the basic fundamental thing: the Quran was an oral revelation! God promised to preserve the Quran; the oral Quran and the Quranic message has not changed. God has kept His promise. Believers in code 19 don't believe this, they need a "corrected" Quran.

- Believers in code 19 reject two verses from the Quran. Why would anyone be interested in adding any extra verses at all ? On one side believers in code 19 promote that Mohammed was not illiterate and the Quran was written down in his own time. Despite this they don't accept the only Quran which has been available for over 1400 years.

If someone was interested in adding extra verses to the Quran then surely the "stoning verse" (even today) would be on the top of that list. If 9:128-129 "idolizes" Mohammed then surely 21:107, 33:21 are also "idolize" Mohammed ...

By pointing towards the writing differences and "correcting" the Quran believers in code 19 start to doubt the Quran.

The Quran is a Book where doubt has no place (2/2), it is for those who believe in the unseen (3/2), for those who believe in the oral revelation given to Mohammed (4/2) and for those who are certain about the Hereafter. The very first verses of the Quran blows away "code 19".

- Believers in code 19 claim that "code 19" is a proof of God and that mathematics is the only way which will convince a sceptic. Obviously they were not certain about God and the Hereafter (2/4) before they "saw code 19" and they are not among those who believe in the unseen (3/2). Believers in code 19 seem to forget that if we had a "proof" of God then everyone would have been a believer - it would be pointless for us to be on this earth. They also seem to forget that the Quran is not at all interested in making "muslims" out of people by simply showing them miracles.

"And even if We had sent down to them the angels and the dead had spoken to them and We had brought together all things before them, they would not believe unless Allah pleases, but most of them are ignorant. " (6/111)

The Quran wants people to believe in it out of reason, out from reflections on the message itself etc etc; not because of "miracles".

"Code 19" contradicts the Quranic philosophy in every way.
