Read! with the name of your Lord who creates! Creates the man from the hook. Read! and your Lord is the most honorable! The one who teaches by pen. Teaches the man what he never knew. (The Reading/Quran/ 96:1)

Word "Qur`an" is an arabic word and it means Reading, that what is to be read/recited; studied. It claims a divine inspiration for itself. It claims to be Words of God, Mighty Creator of the universe, inspired to a honorable messenger, a mere mortal and servant of God, one in the chain of other innumerable messengers who were and gone before him. The Book pretends to the leading mankind from the darknesess to the Light, explaining all things, and differentiating right from wrong. It claims knowledge unattainable to humans by/through the ways other than the inspiration and invites people to study it and test its claims. It challaneges them to produce the speech similar to it. And warns them of the dreadful destiny if they fail to do so.

People are invited to use their minds, to use the best of their reasoning and ponder over the Cosmos, over themselves, over everyday life, over the book itself - to ponder over everything, and to see the purpose and divine design everywhere. It teaches that God has donated the man with an abundance of gifts, which are even imposible to count. It teaches that the man should be gratefull to God.

Moreover, it invites the man to a kind of mission, to the fullfilment of the purpose of his life. It invites him to surrend himself to His Creator and to save himself from a bad destiny that awaits him(eternal hell) if he refuses to to join the whole universe in serving and worshiping its Creator. The Quran provides all the details needed for the fulfilement of the mission.

In accordance with it, one of the main keys to the fulfilement of the misssion is a proper study of the book - in order that we may attain the knowledge and put its precepts in action. So, our priority should be to study The Book as It should be studied. This task should be not taken easy.
